It is comprised of the localities of Brewarrina, Collerina, Gongolgon, Goodooga, Narran Lake, Talawanta and Weilmoringle plus parts of Angledool, Byrock, Coolabah, Enngonia and The Marra.
It is surrounded by the councils of Balonne, Bogan, Bourke, Paroo, Walgett and Warren.
It is within the state electorate of Barwon.
It is within the federal electorate of Parkes.
